I changed my itinerary for my cross-country drive back home in order to make it back in time for the Bills home opener against the Denver Broncos. Then came the last second of the game, which was all the Broncos needed to kick a field goal and win.

I used my federal holiday as a way to enjoy the beautiful weather, explore something new, and spend time with old friends. After a leisurely bike ride around downtown, I met up with two of my closest friends and set off to explore some gems of the West Side.

I was a stage crew gal in high school. I’ve been to Shea’s and Studio Arena. I’ve seen Shakespeare in Delaware Park. This conversation reminded that we really do have a strong theatre pulse in Buffalo. When I lived out of state, I went to the local theatre. Why did I ever stop? What is wrong with me?

Ellicottville’s oldest and largest festival kicks off this Saturday, October 6, and runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. throughout the weekend.
For me, Fall Festival has always kick started the fall/holiday/ski season. A weekend full of unique seasonal food and drinks, live music, arts and crafts; there’s something for everyone.

A few nights ago I was home watching the evening news and to my surprise one of the top stories of the broadcast was regarding a panhandling problem in the Elmwood Village.
