30+30+1 = A Happy (Local) Holiday Season

Shopping locally is an essential part to giving back to your community.  How perfect, then, that when it comes to holiday shopping in one of Western New York’s artiest communities, a local artist shop/fair/exhibit opens.

The Local Artisan Bazaar, offering 30 artists for 30 days under one roof, opens Thursday, Nov. 20 for a month of exciting art, localized shopping and a great community gathering.  This pop-up store model offers original pieces by local artwork in a wide variety of mediums – from paintings and photography to knitted works and even artisan tea – in the back studio building at The Neighborhood Collective (home to Block Club, Lori Joyce Photography and owner, Annie Adams Jewelry, among others).  The space will be open Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.; and Fridays noon to 8 p.m.  An opening reception will take place on Black Friday on Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. (that’s the day after Thanksgiving, in case you were curious).

The event is a collaborative project between Annie Adams Jewelry, The Wine Thief , DeLish and Artvoice.  Come by and see these wonderful pieces of art and design, support your local community of artists and the local economy at the same time.  Make an afternoon out of it, with some lunch or coffee before or after.  You won’t be disappointed.

Here’s a preview of the space, now open and sprawling with pieces ready to be purchased.
