Blogroll: Caz Attack

Our communities are defined in a myriad ways.  Our homes, our streets and neighborhoods, our towns, villages and cities, commercial and professional centers, religious institutions… the list goes on.  Let’s not forget the world beyond our immediate reach, the blogosphere.  Block Club Online is pleased to share the air with dozens and dozens of professional/regular bloggers out there in Western New York.  Today we share with you the wonderful SouthBuffaloOnline.com.

This South Buffalo Web site is truly wonderful.  Just a very casual glance at the offerings shows just how much “community” is in this community.  For starters, there’s a community bulletin board for local events, such as the fundraiser to benefit the family of a 44-year-old South Buffalo woman who passed away this summer.  Coming on Oct. 20 is a winter home weatherization class to teach homeowners how to save dollars on heating this season.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.  The Community Calendar has listings through early 2008!  If you are a local artist or salesperson with goods for sale, post them online in their shopping guide. (Not to be outdone, stay tuned for Block Club Magazine’s 2007 Holiday Buy Guide in our Nov/Dec issue.)

A handy 2008 Election Guide gives voters background information and links to every major candidate in next year’s Presidential race and this year’s Erie County Executive race.  Also of civic note is a community directory of business and social organizations, groups that can aid in your children’s education and family programs.

Check out more of SouthBuffaloOnline.com‘s features.  It’s a wonderful site that brings to the forefront the wonderful benefits of having an online outlet for communication and networking.

If you have a locally themed Web site or blog you would like featured on BCO’s Blogroll, .  We’d love to share your work here on our site.
