Free Turkeys!!!

One of the best ways we can celebrate Thanksgiving is to give to those who aren’t able to have their own Thanksgiving meal.  Invite them to your family’s gathering (or with whomever you’ll be spending next Thursday), or spread the word about events like the University District Holiday Turkey Giveaway.  Other communities have similar opportunities for those in need, so if you don’t live in the University Heights/Bailey district there are bound to be chances nearer to you.  We will post any and all that we come across, and if you know of any, feel free to post a comment with that information.

WHAT:  Holiday Turkey Giveaway
WHEN:  Tuesday, November 20, 2007 6-8 p.m.
WHERE:  Ken/Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services 995 Kensington Ave.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Must reside in the University District.
2. Be a senior (65 yrs or older) or low income household.
3. Present a Social Services Benefit Card; a valid photo ID and utility bill with current address
