Meet Western New York

Our first Western New Yorker we are highlighting on our site is Ann Marshfield, who works at the Canisius High School bookstore.

BC: Where are you from?
Ann: I am originally from California, but have since moved to the Buffalo area.

BC: How do you feel about the significant differences in the weather and seasons between California and Buffalo?
Ann: Well, you experience very few changes in weather in California. In Buffalo, you see the changes between all four seasons, and that allows me to appreciate the outdoors more.

BC: What are your favorite summer activities?
Ann:  I love doing anything outdoors. The summertime in Buffalo really allows me to enjoy my backyard and appreciate nature more than I was able to in California. The weather here is perfect for being outside.

BC: Since the 2007-2008 school year has recently ended, what are your plans for this summer?
Ann: It was a very hectic end of the school year, so I am looking forward to relaxing during break.
