Prosit at the Wald Festival!

Yesterday, my family and I took a drive down the 400, just outside of East Aurora to the Wald Festival.  Situated in the middle of a forest, the Festival takes its name from the German word for forest.  Every year, thousands of people come together to celebrate all things German - beer, sausages, kraut, lederhosens and dirndls, ja!

wow, lots of people!  looks cool.  i’ve never heard of this event here before.

I wouldn’t have heard of it if it weren’t for my family.  It’s crazy - I can’t find any information online, either.  I wonder how many people would be there if it were heavily promoted?
