Wicked Cheap Seats

We hope you’ve had a great Fourth of July weekend so far.  It’s been amazing over here on my end.  I’ll post photos of my weekend soon.  It’s been awesome having this much-needed break this week, but I’m excited to get back to work on Monday on our next issue of Block Club Magazine, as well as distributing our new issue across WNY! In case you haven’t noticed, Buffalo has been infested with witches and bats for the last few weeks.  “Wicked,” the awesomely fun hit Broadway musical, is at Shea’s until July 13.  If you haven’t snagged a ticket yet—and word on the street is that there aren’t many left to be snagged (snugged?)—you have a chance with every performance to get a $25 rush seat!  I know, cool right?  Here’s how it works:

Two and a half hours before every performance, show up at Sheas’ box office and enter your name.  Then, two hours before the performance (which gives you 30 minutes to get your name entered, you see) they will draw 10 names at random.  If your name is chosen, you can purchase up to two (2) tickets for $25 each.  They are in the orchestra level, and rather close to the stage though not in the center section.  So if you are okay with a (possibly) slightly obstructed view, you will be all set.  You can purchase just one ticket, of course, but no more than two.  And you have to pay with cash.
