4.27 Learn from a survivor

When the atrocities of genocide go untold, the lessons of humanity and survival are lost. Thida Mam, a Cambodian survivor of the cruel dictator Pol Pot, will be on hand tonight at Daemen College for a showing of the documentary based on her story “Out of the Poison Tree.” There will be a post-film discussion with Dr. Edwin Clausen, Daemen College academic vice-president for academic affairs. 7:30 p.m., Alumni Lounge in Wick Center at Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst.
