It is impossible to live in Western New York and not have an appreciation for our neighbors to the north. Canadians and WNYers have always had a special relationship, which is why the Friendship Festival is so important. This afternoon, celebrate Canada Day on the Peace Bridge for “Hands Across the Border.” Whether you’re a veteran, a Girl Scout, Boy Scout, firefighter, or just a friendly face––no matter your citizenship––grab a flag and a hand. Head down to Front Park (USA) or Mather Arch (Canada) at 3 p.m. today and show your friendship. To register or for more information, go to www.friendshipfestival.com.
